30W JPT LP Fiber Laser - Budget Production Marker With Premium Hardware

The 30W LP is the most cost-effective entry to real production marking in the Haotian range. The internal hardware around the source is identical to machines costing twice as much: same Sino-Galvo scanning head, same motorized 500 mm Z-tower, same EZCad Original software, same accessories.

What changes is the source. The LP series uses a fixed 200 ns pulse width and is built for high-speed monochrome marking on bare and coated metals. It cannot do MOPA color marking. For shops that mark serial numbers, logos, QR codes, and graphics in black-on-steel all day, that trade-off saves real money without giving up build quality.

Why The 30W LP Makes Sense

1

Premium Hardware At The Lower Price

Same scanning head, same motorized Z-tower, same controller, same software as our higher-power M7 series. Only the source changes.

Why this matters: Other manufacturers cut corners on galvo and Z-tower at this price. We cut nothing except the source class.
2

Fixed 200 ns Pulse, Tuned For Marking Speed

The LP source is optimized for one job: clean monochrome marks at production speed. Pulse duration is fixed, frequency runs 1 to 600 kHz, and peak power is consistent across the working area.

Why this matters: Variable-pulse MOPA sources cost more because they enable color marking. If you do not need color, you should not pay for that capability.
3

Air Cooled, Under 150W Power Draw

No chiller, no water lines, no plumbing. Plugs into a standard 110V outlet and pulls less power than most desktop computers under load.

Why this matters: Lower running cost, smaller footprint, easier setup. Move the machine between benches without disconnecting cooling.
4

1064 nm Wavelength For Bare And Coated Metals

Marks stainless, titanium, anodized aluminum, brass, copper, tool steel, and most painted or coated metal surfaces. Anti-high-reflection rated for safe operation on shiny stock.

Why this matters: Covers the full metal-marking workload most small shops actually run. The materials buyers ask about every day are within the LP envelope.
5

EZCad Original Plus LightBurn Compatibility

Ships with EZCad Original (not the cut-down Lite version) and full LightBurn Galvo edition compatibility built in. Mac users can run the machine through LightBurn.

Why this matters: No software lock-in, no hidden upgrade cost to get a working toolchain.
6

Same Workshop-Grade Z-Tower As Our 200W

Heavy-duty motorized 500 mm Z-axis. The same column the 200W M7 uses for industrial work. Holds focus precisely across the working envelope.

Why this matters: A wobbly Z-tower is the silent killer of cheap fiber lasers. Ours is overbuilt for this power class on purpose.

Common Buyer Questions Before Purchase

Why is the LP cheaper than the 30W EM7?

The EM7 is a MOPA source with adjustable pulse width and color marking capability. The LP has a fixed pulse width and cannot produce colors. Both share the same external hardware. You save by skipping the MOPA capability, not by getting a worse machine.

Will it really run all day in a small shop?

Yes. Air-cooled JPT LP sources are designed for continuous duty. Output power stability is rated under 5% over the full operating range. The 30W LP is one of the most reliable production markers in this price tier.

Can I upgrade to color marking later?

Not on the same source. If color marking becomes essential to your work, the right move is the 30W EM7 MOPA, the 60W EM7 best seller, or any M7 / M8 series machine. The LP source cannot be retrofitted to MOPA.

Is 30W enough for my workload?

For surface marking on metals, anodized aluminum, painted parts, and most production work where you mark logos, serial numbers, QR codes, and graphics, 30W is more than enough. For deep engraving as a regular workflow, step up to a 60W machine. For meaningful metal cutting, step up to 100W or higher.

What materials does it not mark well?

Bare aluminum responds slower than stainless. Glass, wood, leather, paper, and most plastics are not in the fiber laser envelope. For glass use a UV laser. For wood and leather use a CO2 galvo. The honest limitations section below has the full list.

How does shipping and warranty work?

Free DDP shipping to US, Canada, and EU with all duties paid (approximately 30 days). Free CIF shipping worldwide (approximately 12 days, customer pays local duties). Three-year warranty on the source and the complete machine. Lifetime email support.

What This Machine Cannot Do

Honest Limitations Of The 30W LP

  • No color marking on stainless or titanium. The fixed 200 ns pulse width cannot produce the controlled heat input MOPA color marking requires. If you need color, look at the 30W EM7, 60W EM7, or any M7 series machine.
  • Not a deep engraving production machine. The 30W can deep engrave but slowly. For deep engraving as a daily workflow, the 60W EM7 best seller is the practical entry point.
  • Not a metal cutter. Fiber galvo lasers at 30W cannot meaningfully cut sheet metal. For thin metal cutting use 100W or higher. For sheet production cutting use a CNC fiber laser cutter.
  • Cannot mark coated tumblers cleanly. Fiber wavelength burns powder coating instead of vaporizing it. For tumblers and coated drinkware, use a CO2 galvo machine.
  • Does not mark glass, wood, leather, paper, or most plastics. The 1064 nm wavelength is not absorbed by these materials. UV or CO2 lasers are the right tools for those jobs.
  • Cannot drill holes through glass. Glass drilling requires the JPT M8 series with the G3 PRO 2.5D galvo and EZCad3 software.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the practical difference between LP and MOPA on a 30W machine?
LP is a fixed-pulse-width source built for high-speed monochrome marking. MOPA uses variable pulse width to control heat input, which is what enables color marking on stainless and titanium. For shops doing logos, text, serial numbers, and graphics in black, the LP delivers the same marking quality at a lower price point. For shops where color marking is part of the offering, MOPA is essential.
Can the 30W LP mark anodized aluminum cleanly?
Yes. Anodized aluminum is one of the easiest materials in the fiber laser envelope. The 1064 nm beam removes the anodized layer to reveal the bright aluminum underneath, producing high-contrast white-on-color marks. The 30W LP handles this at fast speeds with consistent results across the working area.
How long does the JPT LP source last?
JPT publishes a working life rating of approximately 100,000 hours for the LP series under normal duty cycles. In practice, that means well over a decade of daily production use for most small shops. Source-related warranty claims on this class of fiber laser are rare.
Is the 30W LP loud during operation?
Air cooling uses internal fans for the source and the controller. Operating noise is comparable to a desktop computer under load, much quieter than a chilled higher-power machine. Most operators run the machine in the same room they work in without ear protection beyond the standard safety practice.
Can I run the 30W LP from a Mac?
Yes, through LightBurn Galvo edition. EZCad Original is Windows-only, but LightBurn Galvo runs natively on macOS and supports the BJJCZ controller used in this machine. Most Mac-based users run the machine through LightBurn without ever opening EZCad.
What is the maximum thickness of metal the 30W LP can engrave?
For surface marking, thickness is not a factor. For deep engraving, the 30W can produce a noticeable depth of approximately 0.1 to 0.3 mm in stainless after multiple passes, depending on settings and material. For deeper engraving as a regular workflow, the 60W EM7 is the practical entry point because it does the same work in fewer passes.
Does the lens need to be replaced over time?
The F-theta lens is a long-life component under normal use. It can be damaged by direct splash from material, cleaning with the wrong solvent, or operating with a contaminated optical path. We include one extra lens of your chosen size as a spare. With reasonable care, most operators never need a third.
Can I upgrade the working area later?
Yes. The standard 110 x 110 mm field is set by the included F-theta lens. Switching to a 200 x 200 mm or 300 x 300 mm lens widens the marking area at the cost of slightly lower energy density per pulse. We supply additional lens options at the time of purchase or as accessories later.
