60W CO2 Galvo Laser - The Tumbler Engraving Machine That Pays For Itself

A 60W CO2 galvo with a DAVI metal RF tube, water cooling, and a chuck rotary included is the right tool for high-volume tumbler engraving, full-wrap drinkware, and fast wood marking.

Coated tumblers cost $4 to $8 wholesale. A personalized engraved tumbler sells for $25 to $45. The 60W cycles full-wrap designs in under two minutes, which means a single afternoon of orders covers more than a week of operating cost. This is the production drinkware workhorse for shops that have outgrown a 40W or want to start straight at production scale.

Built around the same heavy-duty 700 mm motorized Z-tower used on our high-power fiber lasers, paired with a Sino-brand RC2808 scanning head and BJJCZ controller. Ships with EZCad Original (not the Lite version), supports LightBurn Galvo, and includes a chuck rotary, safety glasses, and the S&A CW-5200 industrial water chiller.

Five Reasons This Machine Earns Its Spot In Your Shop

1

Full-Wrap Tumblers In Under Two Minutes

The 60W has the headroom to push speed without sacrificing mark quality. A typical full-wrap tumbler design at 1000 mm/s cycles in 90 to 110 seconds, which is fast enough to run real production volume between order intake and pack-out.

RC2808 scanning head, 25 kHz max frequency, 0.025 mm line interval at 70% power produces the finish shown in the demo video below.
2

DAVI Metal RF Tube - The Best CO2 Source In China

The laser source is the heart of any CO2 machine and the most expensive part to replace. We use DAVI metal RF tubes because they hold output stability over long sessions and have the longest verified service life in the Chinese-made CO2 source market.

Sealed metal RF tube, water cooled, 10,600 nm wavelength. Compatible with the included CW-5200 chiller out of the box.
3

Heavy-Duty 700 mm Motorized Z-Tower

The Z-tower is the same heavy-duty 700 mm motorized assembly used on our 200W and 350W fiber lasers. That extra travel matters for tall tumblers, large mugs, and items that need clearance for a rotary attachment underneath.

700 mm vertical travel, motorized control via EZCad and LightBurn, foot pedal trigger included for hands-free production work.
4

EZCad Original, Not Lite - Plus LightBurn Support

We ship the original EZCad version, not the stripped-down Lite version that comes on cheaper machines. You get dynamic focus, variable-data marking for serial numbers and dates, and proper rotary control. LightBurn Galvo edition is also fully supported for Mac users and shops that prefer its UI.

EZCad2 with pre-configured settings on USB, BJJCZ controller, USB 2.0 connection, supports AI, PLT, DXF, BMP, DST, DWG, LAS, DXP file formats.

Clean Two-Tone Marks On Coated Drinkware

The 10,600 nm CO2 wavelength is absorbed by paint, powder coating, and lacquer, but reflected by the bare stainless steel underneath. The coating vaporizes cleanly and the metal stays untouched, which produces the crisp two-tone contrast that defines a quality tumbler engraving. A fiber laser on the same coated tumbler removes the coating but then continues into the stainless underneath, leaving a rougher gray mark instead of the clean white-on-color reveal.

Wavelength physics: 10,600 nm absorbs into organic coatings and reflects off bare metals. Fiber's 1064 nm does the opposite, which is why each laser is the right tool for a different surface.

Watch The 60W Engrave A Full-Wrap Tumbler

The video below shows the machine running a full-wrap tumbler at production speed. Settings used: 210 mm lens, 1000 mm/s speed, 70% power, 15 kHz frequency, 0.025 mm line interval. These are the same settings we use in-house for the personalized stainless tumbler examples shown on the homepage.

A second demo on cork at 300 mm lens, 1000 mm/s, 16% power, 25 kHz, 239 DPI is available at youtube.com/watch?v=DQevOZr9AL4 showing the same precision on natural materials.

Questions Buyers Ask Before Pulling The Trigger

Can this machine mark bare stainless steel or titanium?

No. CO2 wavelength reflects off bare metals. For uncoated stainless, titanium, brass, copper, or aluminum, you need a fiber laser. Our 60W EM7 fiber best seller at $4,400 is the right tool for that.

Will I need a chiller, and is it included?

The S&A CW-5200 industrial water chiller is included with the machine, no extra cost. Use distilled water only - never tap water, never deionized water - and power up the chiller before the laser source every session.

How does this compare to your 40W CO2 galvo?

The 40W is the right entry point for hobby and small-business volume up to about 20 tumblers per day. The 60W steps up to production speed - faster cycles, deeper engraving, light cutting on thin acrylic and wood, and the cooling headroom for all-day runs.

Is the rotary included or do I buy it separately?

A chuck rotary for tumblers is included. It mounts to the machine base and is wired through the controller for synchronized rotation during full-wrap engraving.

What lens should I order with the machine?

For tumblers, the 210 x 210 mm lens is the practical choice - it covers full-wrap height in a single mark. For finer work on small items, the 110 x 110 mm or 150 x 150 mm gives tighter detail. You can swap lenses later as your work changes.

Do I need Windows or can I use a Mac?

EZCad2 is Windows only. If you work on a Mac, use LightBurn Galvo edition - it runs on macOS and supports the same controller. We test both and ship the EZCad USB pre-configured either way.

What This Machine Cannot Do

Honest disclosure - read this before you buy

  • Cannot mark bare metals. Stainless, titanium, brass, copper, and aluminum reflect the CO2 wavelength. For metal marking, color marking, or deep engraving, you need a fiber laser. Our 60W EM7 fiber at $4,400 covers most metal use cases.
  • Cannot do PVC. Never cut or mark PVC with any laser. PVC releases chlorine gas that damages the optics and harms the operator.
  • Not a sheet metal cutter. Galvo machines are markers, not gantry cutters. For real production sheet metal cutting, use a CNC fiber laser cutter.
  • Glass marking yes, glass drilling no. The 60W can frost glass surfaces but cannot drill through-holes. Glass drilling requires the JPT M8 fiber series with G3 PRO 2.5D galvo.
  • Not the cheapest entry point. If you process under 20 tumblers per day or you are unsure CO2 work will be a real business, our 40W CO2 galvo at a lower price point is the safer first machine.
  • Needs ventilation. CO2 marking on coated drinkware, leather, and wood produces fumes. A fume extractor with HEPA + carbon is appropriate for commercial use, not just a window fan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Three reasons. First, the 10,600 nm CO2 wavelength vaporizes powder coating cleanly without etching the bare stainless underneath, which is the physics that produces the clean two-tone mark buyers expect on a quality engraved tumbler. Second, the 60W has the cooling headroom (water cooled, CW-5200 included) and tube life to run all day without thermal drift, which a 40W cannot match at the same volume. Third, the chuck rotary is included and synchronizes with the BJJCZ controller, so full-wrap designs cycle in 90 to 110 seconds at 1000 mm/s working speed and 70% power. The RC2808 scanning head is rated up to 7000 mm/s linear speed for lighter materials.

Bare metals (stainless, aluminum, brass, copper, titanium) reflect the 10,600 nm wavelength and cannot be marked with any CO2 laser. For bare metal work, a fiber laser is the right tool. PVC must never be processed by any laser - it releases toxic chlorine gas. Through-hole glass drilling requires the JPT M8 fiber series. Sheet metal cutting requires a CNC fiber laser cutter, not a galvo. Everything else CO2 handles well: coated drinkware, wood, leather, paper, acrylic, glass surface frosting, anodized aluminum coating removal, and most plastics that respond to thermal marking.

Metal RF tubes are sealed industrial sources with a service life measured in tens of thousands of hours, designed for galvo scanning at high frequencies (up to 25 kHz on this machine). Glass DC tubes used in CO2 gantry cutters last fewer hours, cannot run at the same frequencies, and are not suitable for galvo marking. DAVI is the most reliable Chinese-made metal RF tube brand and is what Haotian specifies on every CO2 galvo we ship.

For full-wrap tumblers, choose the 210 x 210 mm field. It covers most tumbler heights in a single mark without rotation interruption. For very small detail work (jewelry, watch parts, fine wood inlays), 110 x 110 mm or 150 x 150 mm gives tighter resolution and shorter focal length. The 300 x 300 mm field is for large-format work like cutting boards and signs. You can buy additional lenses from Haotian later and swap them between jobs - the markcfg7 calibration file gets updated for each lens.

A standard 30 oz coated stainless tumbler with a full-wrap design at our recommended settings (210 mm lens, 1000 mm/s speed, 70% power, 15 kHz frequency, 0.025 mm line interval) cycles in 90 to 110 seconds depending on design density. Text-only designs cycle faster at 50 to 70 seconds. The video on this page shows a real tumbler at production speed.

The chuck rotary handles cylindrical items roughly 25 mm to 110 mm in diameter, which covers most tumblers, mugs, water bottles, candles, and standard wine bottles. For very large diameter items (champagne bottles, beer kegs) or very small (pens, lipstick tubes), a different rotary type may be needed - contact us before ordering and we can recommend the right attachment.

EZCad Original supports dynamic focus, variable-data marking (auto-incrementing serial numbers, dates, barcodes), advanced fill patterns, multi-layer jobs with different parameters per layer, and direct hardware control of Z-axis and rotary. EZCad Lite is a stripped-down version that ships on cheaper machines and is missing most of those features. We ship the original on every Haotian CO2 galvo because production work needs it.

Yes, via LightBurn Galvo edition. EZCad is Windows-only, but LightBurn runs on macOS and Windows and is fully compatible with the BJJCZ controller. The Galvo edition costs more than the standard LightBurn but is designed for galvo machines and handles rotary calibration in a friendlier UI. Many of our shop customers prefer LightBurn even on Windows.
