What is the M-version of the JPT M7 source?
The JPT M7 series is offered in three internal grades: E, E2, and M. The M-version is the highest grade, using imported seed diodes and pump diodes from suppliers in Canada and France. These higher-grade components deliver superior beam quality stability over thousands of operating hours and are the JPT M7 source that production shops specify when reliability matters more than cost. The 350W in this machine is the M-version.
What is the difference between EZCAD Original and EZCAD Lite?
EZCAD Lite is a stripped-down version that ships with budget fiber lasers. It has limited file format support, no advanced job automation, and reduced parameter control. EZCAD Original (what ships with this machine) is the full software with every feature: complete file format support, MOPA pulse width and frequency control, batch processing, automatic counters, barcode and QR code generation, photo grayscale conversion, and production-grade job queuing. We include the original because production shops need it.
Can the 350W cut metal sheets?
Yes, with limits. This is a galvo marking laser, not a dedicated CNC cutting machine. It cuts thin metal sheets up to about 3 mm depending on material and air assist setup. For thicker production sheet metal cutting, our CNC fiber laser cutters from 1500W to 6000W are the right tool. The 350W M7 is best for marking, deep engraving, and occasional thin cutting where the same machine handles both jobs.
Why is water cooling required at 350W?
Average output power above approximately 100W generates more thermal load than air cooling can dissipate during continuous operation. At 350W, active liquid cooling is mandatory to keep the laser source within its optimal thermal range. The S&A CW3000 industrial chiller circulates coolant through the laser source and the watercooling head, removing heat efficiently and maintaining beam quality during long production runs. The chiller is included free with the machine.
What does the Feeltek 2D scanning head bring to the machine?
Feeltek is a respected galvo scanner manufacturer used in production-grade fiber laser systems. The 2D head on this machine is built to handle high-power throughput with the same response time and accuracy as smaller-power galvos, while integrating with the watercooling system to keep the optics stable. Pairing a high-quality scanner with the JPT M7 M-version source means the entire optical chain is production-grade, not just the laser tube.
Can I do color marking on stainless steel with 350W?
Yes. The 350W M7 is a full MOPA laser with adjustable pulse width from 2 to 500 nanoseconds, the same range as smaller M7 machines. You can produce the full color spectrum on stainless steel and titanium, black annealing on anodized aluminum, and all the same color effects as a 60W or 100W. The 350W just does it faster.
How long does delivery take to my country?

Is this the right machine for me, or should I consider 200W M8?
Two different needs. The 350W M7 is the right choice when you need maximum throughput for deep engraving and marking jobs at high volume, and you do not need glass drilling. The 200W M8 is the right choice when glass drilling is part of your work, even at the cost of slightly lower average output power. Both are flagship machines for different production specialties.
